Madison’s school district has many stakeholders. The stakeholders include the wonderful volunteers, terrific teachers, and experienced leaders that make the school district work well every day. Also, stakeholders include the community members that aspire to support and strengthen the public schools, whether or not they have children currently attending.
Tom Piskula believes that one way to make the schools stronger is to encourage all of these stakeholders to participate more in the discussion of how the school district functions. For that to happen, there must be a communication flow between Board of Education members and the public that is as broad and deep as possible, building on what we have currently.
